84 Lumber has named Weyerhaeuser as its Vendor Partner of the Year in recognition of sales growth, consistent service, and value-added support. 84 is the nation’s fifth-largest LBM dealer with 255 locations around the U.S.

Among 84’s vendor partners, Weyerhaeuser achieved the largest sales volume and sales dollars year to date, with an 83 percent increase over 2012. The dealer recognized Weyerhaeuser as “a great strategic partner,” noting in particular its ability to maintain a consistent flow of wood products from its mills during the housing recovery, a time when others are experiencing supply constraints. Weyerhaeuser also has been a consistently reliable source for 84 for a variety of commodities and specialty building products through its national network of distribution centers.

In addition to traditional sales and supply milestones, Weyerhaeuser has provided marketing support to 84 Lumber locations to help them earn new business.

“Weyerhaeuser prides itself on providing our dealers with not only quality products and reliable service, but on being a true partner through value-added benefits such as training, marketing tools, and our in-field sales team that provides one-on-one support,” says Steve Grohowalski, national account manager for Weyerhaeuser. “We’re thrilled to receive this recognition from 84 Lumber because it means those efforts are paying off for our customers while helping us create mutually beneficial, long-lasting partnerships.”
